Activity 1 Chasing Great
3 thing I didn't know about Richie:
I did not know that he was IRB Player of the year in 2006 and I did not know he played 137 games for the ab's and captained 100 of those games .
I would like to know:
How many times did he have to train when he played for the ab's.

ReplyDeleteIsn't Richie McCaw just one of the best sportspeople that you can think of. The title of his movie 'Chasing great' really is quite fitting for him.
Its great that you learnt a few things about him that you didn't know. It is always good to learn new things.
Did you know that he was an awesome helicopter pilot?
He was really great helping people after the Kaikoura earthquake. He flew food and supplies into people that were stuck because of the damage to the roads.
I would say that he would of had to train so many times to be as good as he was. He was not only good on the field but he was a really great role model off the field too.
I bet you are looking forward to the big game in Greymouth in a couple of weeks. It's a shame that Richie has retired otherwise we could of seen him playing on rugby Park!
I wonder if he will be there?
